Auto Blog

Plan, generate, and publish articles on a cadence—without rebuilding the schedule every week.

Overview

Auto Blog lives in your Calendar (Content Calendar). It fills roughly the next 30 days with scheduled keywords, generates articles on the days you choose, and can publish them to your connected CMS automatically.

You can also schedule items manually—drag keywords onto days, generate now, publish now, or adjust timing—while Auto Blog keeps the calendar replenished day by day.

How It Works

1. Open your Content Calendar

Go to Calendar in the sidebar. You'll see a monthly view of queued keywords, drafts, and scheduled publishes so you can scan what's coming up next.

2. Turn on Auto Blog

Open Auto Blog settings and configure:

  1. Choose days — pick which days of the week Casper should generate content (Mon–Sun)
  2. Generation time — set the time and timezone for when articles are created
  3. Publish delay — publish immediately after generation, or wait (up to the next day) so you can review first
  4. Turn on auto blog — Casper fills the calendar ahead and replenishes it daily

Auto Blog pulls candidates from your Topics & Keywords list automatically—there's nothing to star or send over. Keep that list current so the calendar always has unused keywords to schedule.

3. Enable Auto publish (optional)

With a CMS connected (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Framer, Ghost, Contentful, and more), turn on Auto publish so scheduled articles go live on your site without a manual publish click. You can toggle Auto publish from the calendar.

4. Manage the calendar by hand anytime

Auto Blog doesn't lock you out of the calendar. You can still:

  • Drag and drop items to different days
  • Schedule a keyword or existing article for a specific date
  • Generate or publish an item immediately
  • Edit keyword settings or remove items from the schedule

Best Practices

Match days to your capacity

Pick a cadence you can sustain—and that fits your monthly article limit. Consistency beats bursts for SEO and audience habits.

Use publish delay when you want a review window

If you prefer a quick human pass, set a publish delay so articles generate first and publish later. Edit anytime before the scheduled publish.

Keep Topics & Keywords healthy

Auto Blog feeds from your Topics & Keywords list. Use the Visual map and filters to leave strong unused keywords ready—see Content Strategy.

Connect a CMS before relying on Auto publish

Auto publish only works when an integration is connected and healthy. Confirm the connection under Settings → Integrations.

Common Questions

What's the difference between Auto Blog and Auto publish?

Auto Blog schedules and generates articles on your chosen days. Auto publish sends those (or manually scheduled) articles to your connected CMS when their publish time arrives. You can use Auto Blog with or without Auto publish.

Can I edit articles after they're scheduled?

Yes. Open the article from the calendar or Articles list and edit anytime before it publishes. Changes are included when it goes live.

What happens if I hit my monthly article limit?

Generation that would exceed your limit is paused. Upgrade, add article credits, or wait for the next billing cycle—then reschedule if needed. See Plans & Billing.

Can I cancel a scheduled item?

Yes. Remove it from the calendar at any time. Generated drafts stay in Articles unless you delete them; they simply won't publish on that schedule.
