Editing Articles

Use Casper's powerful rich text editor to refine, format, and optimize your articles before publishing.

Overview

Every article generated by Casper can be edited using our built-in rich text editor. The editor provides full control over formatting, content structure, images, links, and SEO optimization.

You can make changes at any time—before publishing, after publishing, or when republishing to different platforms.

Using the Rich Text Editor

Basic Formatting

The editor supports standard text formatting options:

  • Bold and italic text
  • Headings (H1, H2, H3, etc.)
  • Bulleted and numbered lists
  • Text alignment (left, center, right, justify)
  • Blockquotes for highlighting important content
  • Code blocks for technical content

Adding Images

To add images to your article:

  1. Place your cursor where you want the image
  2. Type /image or click the image button

SEO Optimization While Editing

Live SEO Score

The editor displays a live SEO score that updates as you edit. This score considers factors like keyword usage, heading structure, content length, and internal linking.

SEO Suggestions

Casper provides suggestions for improving your SEO score, such as:

  • Adding more headings for better structure
  • Including the target keyword in headings
  • Adding internal links to related articles
  • Optimizing meta descriptions

Meta Information

Edit the article's title, slug, and meta description directly in the editor. These fields are optimized for SEO and can be customized for each publishing platform.

Saving and Version Control

Auto-Save

Your changes are automatically saved as you edit. You'll see a "Saved" indicator when changes have been saved successfully.

Unsaved Changes

If you have unsaved changes, you'll see a warning before navigating away or publishing. Make sure to save your work before publishing.

Editing Published Articles

You can edit articles even after they've been published. Changes made in Casper won't automatically update published articles—you'll need to republish if you want to update the published version.

Best Practices

Review Before Publishing

Always review AI-generated content before publishing. While Casper creates high-quality content, adding your unique perspective and voice makes it even better.

Maintain Consistent Formatting

Use consistent heading styles, list formatting, and spacing throughout your article. This improves readability and user experience.

Optimize Images

Always add descriptive alt text to images. This improves accessibility and helps with SEO. Use relevant, high-quality images that enhance your content.

Check SEO Score

Before publishing, review your SEO score and address any suggestions. A higher SEO score typically means better search engine visibility.
