Publishing
Publish articles directly to your connected platforms or copy content to any CMS. Casper handles formatting, metadata, and SEO optimization automatically.
Overview
Casper makes publishing easy. Connect your publishing platforms once, and you can publish articles with a single click. The system automatically formats content for each platform, sets SEO metadata, and handles all the technical details.
For platforms without direct integration, you can copy articles in multiple formats (Rich Text, HTML, Markdown) and paste them into any CMS.
How It Works
1. Connect Your Platforms
First, connect your publishing platforms in Settings → Integrations. Casper supports WordPress, Shopify, Contentful, Webhook, and more. Each platform has a simple setup process.
2. Publish Directly
When you're ready to publish:
- Click the Publish button on any article
- Configure platform-specific settings (categories, tags, featured image)
- Click Publish to send the article to your connected platform
Casper automatically formats the content, sets metadata, and publishes to your platform.
3. Copy to Clipboard
For platforms without direct integration, use the "Copy as" button to copy articles in Rich Text, HTML, or Markdown format. Then paste into your CMS.
4. Schedule Publishing
Schedule articles to be published at specific dates and times. Casper will automatically publish them when the time comes, or you can schedule them in your platform's native scheduler.

WordPress

Shopify

Webhooks

Best Practices
Review Before Publishing
Always review articles before publishing, even with auto-publish enabled. Ensure content is accurate, matches your brand voice, and is properly formatted.
Configure Platform Settings
Set up default categories, tags, and other platform-specific settings when connecting integrations. This saves time when publishing.
Use Scheduling
Schedule articles to publish at optimal times for your audience. Consistent publishing schedules help with SEO and audience engagement.
Monitor Published Articles
Check your published articles list to track what's been published where and when. This helps you maintain an overview of your content output.
Common Questions
Can I publish to multiple platforms?
Each organization represents one website and can only have one integration connected. If you want to publish to multiple platforms, create separate organizations for each website/platform. Each organization has its own settings, integrations, and content.
What if publishing fails?
If publishing fails, Casper will show you an error message. Common issues include connection problems, API errors, or missing required fields. Check the error message and your platform connection.
Can I republish an article?
Yes, you can republish articles to the same or different platforms. This is useful if you've made edits or want to publish to additional platforms.
How do I unpublish an article?
To unpublish, you'll need to delete or unpublish the article directly in your platform. Casper tracks published articles but doesn't manage unpublishing.
