Overview
The Zapier integration uses Casper's webhook functionality to send articles to Zapier, which can then trigger actions in thousands of connected apps. This gives you unlimited integration possibilities.
How it works: Casper sends articles to a Zapier webhook, which triggers your Zap to perform actions like posting to social media, sending emails, updating databases, and more.
Setup Instructions
Step 1: Create a Zapier Webhook
- Log in to your Zapier account
- Click Create Zap
- Search for and select "Webhooks by Zapier" as the trigger
- Choose "Catch Hook" as the trigger event
- Click Continue
- Copy the webhook URL provided by Zapier
Step 2: Connect in Casper
- Go to Settings → Integrations in your Casper dashboard
- Click Connect next to Webhook
- Paste your Zapier webhook URL
- Click Test Connection to send a test payload
- Go back to Zapier and check that the test data was received
- Click Save in Casper to complete the connection
Step 3: Configure Your Zap
- In Zapier, add your action app (e.g., WordPress, Slack, Google Sheets)
- Map the article data fields to your action's required fields
- Test your Zap to ensure it works correctly
- Turn on your Zap

Create a Zap that publishes articles to WordPress, Medium, LinkedIn, and other platforms simultaneously when Casper sends a new article.

Troubleshooting
Webhook Not Receiving Data
If Zapier isn't receiving articles:
- Verify your webhook URL is correct in Casper
- Check that your Zap is turned on in Zapier
- Test the webhook connection in Casper
- Check Zapier's task history for any errors
Data Mapping Issues
If your Zap isn't working correctly:
- Review the test data in Zapier to see what fields are available
- Ensure you're mapping the correct fields in your action
- Check that required fields are not empty
- Test your Zap with sample data first
