Webflow

Webflow Integration

Publish articles directly to your Webflow CMS and blogs with full support for Webflow's content structure and SEO features.

Overview

The Webflow integration publishes articles to an existing CMS collection in your Webflow site. Casper maps your article fields to your collection and creates or updates items when you publish. You need a Webflow site with a CMS collection set up before connecting.

Requirements: Create a CMS collection in Webflow first (e.g. “Blog” or “Articles”) with the fields you want (title, body/rich text, excerpt, featured image, SEO fields, etc.). Casper syncs to this existing collection—it does not create the collection for you. You’ll also need a Webflow account with access to the site and CMS plan.

Getting Started

1. Connect Your Webflow Account

Navigate to your organization settings and click on the "Integrations" tab. Find Webflow in the list of available platforms and click "Connect".

You'll be redirected to Webflow to authorize Casper to access your workspace. Once authorized, you'll be redirected back to complete the connection setup.

2. Configure Your Connection

After connecting your account, you'll need to:

  • Select the Webflow site you want to publish to
  • Choose the CMS collection for your blog posts
  • Map your Casper article fields to your Webflow collection fields
  • Set your default publish status (Draft or Live)
  • Configure whether to upload featured images to Webflow Assets

3. Publish Your First Article

Once your connection is set up, you can publish articles directly from the article page. Click the "Publish" button, select your Webflow connection, choose your publish status, and click "Publish" or "Schedule" for later.

Features

OAuth Authentication

Secure OAuth 2.0 authentication means you never need to manually copy API tokens. Simply click "Connect" and authorize Casper to access your Webflow workspace.

Field Mapping

Map your Casper article fields (title, content, excerpt, featured image, SEO fields, etc.) to your Webflow CMS collection fields. This mapping is configured once during connection setup and used for all future publications.

Rich Content Support

Your article content is automatically converted to Webflow's rich text format, preserving formatting, paragraphs, and structure. Content is formatted based on your collection's field type (Rich Text or Plain Text).

Featured Image Upload

Featured images are automatically uploaded to Webflow Assets and linked to your collection items. You can enable or disable this feature during connection setup.

Draft & Live Publishing

Choose whether to publish articles as drafts or live. You can set a default status for your connection or override it when publishing individual articles.

Scheduled Publishing

Schedule articles to be published at specific dates and times. Scheduled articles are automatically published by our system when the scheduled time arrives.

SEO Fields

Full support for SEO fields including meta titles, meta descriptions, and custom SEO fields in your Webflow collection.

Troubleshooting

Connection Issues

If you're having trouble connecting or your connection stops working:

  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting your Webflow account
  • Ensure your Webflow app has the correct permissions (Sites, CMS, Assets)
  • Use the "Test Connection" button to verify your connection is working

Field Mapping Issues

If articles aren't publishing correctly:

  • Ensure required fields (Title, Content) are mapped
  • Verify field types match (e.g., don't map text to an image field)
  • Edit your connection to update field mappings if your collection structure changes

Image Upload Issues

If featured images aren't appearing, ensure "Upload Featured Images" is enabled in your connection settings and that your image field is correctly mapped.
